Glendoe Estate on the shore of Loch Ness is home to two of our cottages, Kilcuimen and Lower Glendoe Cottage. Both enjoy some of the best views of the loch and are walking distance from Fort Augustus
Lower Glendoe Cottage is a traditional Highland cottage which has been lovely restored in 2025 by the third generation family owners. With two spacious double bedrooms and a bunk room kids will love this the perfect monster hunting family retreat. Expect all the comforts of home, everything you need to cook up a feast and a smart TV with streaming services and Sky Stream for live programmes. Relax in the comfortable lounge by the wood burning stove after a day of adventure!

Set on the first floor, this spacious bedroom has wonderful views looking along the loch and also over the garden. Featuring a beautiful king-sized bed, a large built-in wardrobes, this well-appointed room has ample storage space.

Also on the first floor, this lovely room again boasts panoramic views up Loch Ness and and also over the garden. Featuring a beautiful king-sized bed, a large built-in wardrobes, this well-appointed room has ample storage space.
Bedroom 3
Situated on the ground floor, the bunkroom is perfect for children, but the comfortable full-sized single beds are big enough for grown-ups too.
To the front and side of the property there is a fully-enclosed garden with plenty of seating on the patio area which takes advantage of the morning/evening sun and is ideal for barbeques of which there is a charcoal one available. There is a large grassed area and generous off-road parking for up to four cars.
The extensive open plan kitchen, dining and lounge area has been thoughtfully designed with a keen attention to detail. This light and spacious area is perfect for relaxing and socialising with friends and family while enjoying the spectacular views and perhaps a bit of Nessie spotting?
The modern kitchen is well-equipped with an electric cooker, induction hob, fridge freezer, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, and kettle.
The homely sitting area has plenty of comfortable sofas and chairs with a large Smart TV and cosy wood burner – perfect for warming you toes after a day’s exploring.
The dining area has a large table and chairs and ample tableware to easily seat eight. In the summer months, the French doors can be opened to enjoy a bit of al fresco living and to drink in the wonderful views.
